i need to extend the supported image formats by umbraco, with supported i mean that i need to generate preview image,thumbnails,etc... for some other image format other then ones i found in umbraco.editorControls.uploadField
i'm using version 4.0.4.2 and i looked a little in umbraco source code (build-67270) and it seem that a thumbnail can be build for jpeg,jpg,gif,bmp,png,tiff,tif images.
WHat i need to know is , how to do it in the right way?
I have a question along the same lines. When you are using mediapicker.aspx you can't select a .swf file as save button is disabled yet you can select a .swf file through media section.
could someone point me out to some docs/samples/best practice.. about overriding the image preview management, without touching the code in the umbraco source?
