We have a site that in essence is performing perfectly well.
However, when in the admin area and editnig a user we get a "500 Internal Server Error" displayed.
The site is running 4.7.1.1
We have a development copy of the site on another server and there is no problem there.
I have checked the Application Pool settings and it is running under the Network Service identity and I have applied update permissions on all folders of the site - appreciate this isn't 100% correct, but in attempting to solve the problem thought I would give update access to everything.
Editing members is fine - we just cannot edit users.
Can anyone suggest where else to look / what to try ?
