Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have been struggling to find the answer.
I am attempting to upload an Umbraco 4.7.1 website to GoDaddy shared hosting. After transferring the files via ftp and restoring the database I receive a 500 Internal Server Error. As this doesn't provide any detailed information and displays GoDaddy's custom error page I tried turn off custom errors but still received the same error page.
The shared hosting is using ASP.NET 4.0 and SQL SERVER 2008 which is correct. I have read that there can be issues with Umbraco trust levels on GoDaddy but have been struggling to find any definite solution.
If anyone knows what the problem could be or if there are any guides or advice out there for deploying a local Umbraco 4.7.1 site to GoDaddy it would be greatly appreciated.
