    Manage remote sites

    Good morning,

     

    I have a question:

     - It's possible to manage the content of a site with umbraco but that site isn´t built in umbraco ?

     

    What a i mean is this , i have a site built in whateaver i mean (but no umbraco) and in his html content i put some umbraco tags and i can manage the site contents only with this tags or i have to built all the site with umbraco ?

    Hi David,

    Yes it is possible to remotely manage your Umbraco content. Here are few suggestions:

    • Using the Metablog APi, go to: /umbraco/channels.aspx of your Umbraco site.
    • Enabling the web-services ... take a look in your "\umbraco\webservices\api" folder.
    • Writing a custom interface using /Base (wouldn't really recommend this for updating/writing, but good for read-access).
