Sensible number of concurrent users in umb backend?

    Hello all.

Just a quick question - has anyone tried load testing the backend of umbraco?  We have a training session for 18 users in a week and they'll all want to be abel to access the training site at the same time.

I know the backend can be a bit heavy on the database, so not sure whether it will be wise to have almost 20 users ont he site at the same time.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Dan

I have not seen any actual numbers on it, but I think you are correct in assuming that it might be a bit slow with that many users, depending on how "click-happy" they are. I think it also depends on the complexity of your document types.

If the performance sucks totally, maybe you could pair them up, to cut the number of users in half? :-)

Probably a sensible idea to pair up the users.  I've been burnt before with another CMS when performance didn't just suck with a lot of users, the site completely died on it's feet and I was left looking rather silly ;-)
