    aspnet membership and umbraco login

    Hi all;

     

    I am building a system that is umbraco CMS for content pages, and then there are some custom pages for products and membership.

    I followed this example: and I have the aspnet membership installed and I have setup the roles and the users I want.

    My question is, can I also use this users database to control the umbraco database/ui? or can I assign my custom roles to existing users in the umbraco system so I can create some custom controls controlled via my aspnet membership?

     

    I am struggling to find information on how to do this kind of thing, I am sure it can be done, just a little stumped as to how?!

    My questions are,

    1. Can I also use this users database to control the umbraco database/ui?
    2. Can I assign my custom roles to the umbraco users? So I can write custom editors for the umbraco interface based on the roles in the aspnet membership.

     

    I tried to edit the post above but could not do it, I also cannot delete the post.
