    Why is the version of Examine in 4.7.1.1 (apparently) not the latest version?

    If I install Umbraco 4.7.1.1 I see that the Examine.dll is 81.5 KB and has a version number of 0.10.0.292

    However, the version you can download from http://examine.codeplex.com/ (which is supposed to be the latest release) is 80.0 KB and has a version number of 0.0.0.0  (not very useful!)

    So they appear to be different versions (or, at least, they have been built differently).

    So, my question is:

    • Which is the latest version? 
    • Which should I use with Umbraco 4.7.x ?
    • If Umbraco 4.7.1.1 doesn't come with the latest version, why not?

    Hi Dan,

    I think under rare circumstances there were breaking changes between the Examine versions, hence could make upgrading Umbraco alkward (I think that was the rational anyway) - but I'm sure Shannon knows the real answer.
