    restExtensions.config or BaseRestExtensions.config?

    Hi there,

    Which one shall I use?

I just noticed that BestRest is newer but do I need to implement anything else or just move to the new .config file?

    Many thanks

    mkariti

    Hi Mkariti

The BaseRestExtensions.config is newer and does the parsing in a cleaner way. restExtensions.config is kept for legacy but will eventually be removed some day.

Have a look at this twitter conversation where Stephané who is behind the new config explains a bit more https://twitter.com/jesperordrup/statuses/292201596689981440

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Jan,

    Many thanks for your reply.

So I guess the config just stay the same? and what does it mean parsing in a cleaner way.? Is it just using a diff class?

Also, do I need to move all my other config to this one if I want to use te new Base?

    Hi mkariti

    Sorry for the late reply.

I believe the restExtension.config will be removed at some point so I think you should start using the new config file to make future Umbraco upgrades easier for yourself.

I'm not sure what is going on under the hood but I suppose some of the code has been cleaned up so it works better :)

    Hope this helps.

    /Jan
