    Umbraco beginner

    hello friends,

    I am a beginner to umbraco, can any one help me out in doing a website, i have a dynamic html file with css.

    Hi Anis

    I'd recommend these resources for you:

    http://www.blogfodder.co.uk/post/A-Complete-Newbies-Guide-To-Umbraco-CMS.aspx and http://umbraco.tv/documentation/videos/for-site-builders.

    If you have any more specific questions, the forum is a great place to ask questions.  In a nutshell

    1. Build static site
    2. Create document types for your content ->  http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/working-with-document-types
    3. Create templates in umbraco for your content using the static html
    4. Replace static elements on-page with output of xslt macros or usercontrols -> http://umbraco.org/documentation/books/xslt-basics
    5. Done!
