Getting the source code for Umbraco 4.5

Hi every one. I'm new to umbraco. so I got and installed umbraco 4.5 and got amazed by all the capabilities! I decided to download the source so that I could learn from the source code but when I click on the download button: Download all I get is a 303 bytes corrupted zip file. Any ideas about this?

    tnx

    Hi Farzad,

I'm not sure what the problem is with the zip, buf you can always export the source code directly from the SVN repository at

    http://umbraco.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/changesets

(If you've not used SVN before, I'd recommend you install TortoiseSVN and follow something like this http://www.bulletprooftemplates.com/using-tortoise-svn but just change the repository URL, to the umbraco one)

    Many thanks

    Matt

To me SVN has always been awwwwwfully slow with CodePlex. First checkout would be ok but then updates would take hours and eventually never end. I have been using CodePlex "Source Control Client" command line tool for a while, and it sort of worked, until CodePlex migrated to TFS 2010, which this tool does not (and will not) support.

Looks like we'll have to go back to downloading the entire source code now and then, and maintain some sort of local repository clone ;-(

    Unless there's a better solution?
