New Default Tab on Document Types

    Hey there

I have a small project in mind that when ( maybe if ) it comes to fruition I intend releasing as a project, which would be my first contribution to this fabulous product.

So my learning curve starts here:

Within document types there are 4 tabs available (Info, Structure, Generic Properties and Tabs)

I would like to automatically have a 5th tab available.

Can anyone provide some feedback on a starting point to this - I am definitely not wanting a solution, but more a heads up on where to start.

    Thanks

    Nigel

    Bump...

Thought I'd explain myself a bit more to see if I can generate any feedback.

My idea is to develop a package, that when installed, will automatically add another tab to all document types by default (same as the properties tab).

Within that tab I was thinking of having a rich text editor - the content of which would be editable when maintaining a document type, but which is displayed as read only when viewing "pages" within the content section.

The purpose of this would be to provide a high level user guide for each document type you have within your site.

So as a starting point I was wanting to have an extra tab defined by default - can anyone provide pointers on where to start...

    Thanks

    Nigel
