Shared Master Page, 3rd Party Controls, Friendly Administration Pages
When adapting content to fit in with Umbraco is it possible as a half way house to have a shared master page that is powering a template, and also used outside of umbraco on the same site to power a standard asp.net page?
I'm guessing this is a no as soon as you start putting in a custom macro it's just going to spit out the umbraco macro without processing it to the end user.
Is there a best practice for adapting only part of an existing site to use the umbraco CMS?
If using only the CMS for part of the site then does it make sense to import usercontrols for all the menu, or somehow map the external pages in umbraco so that menu's can be generated by umbraco?
----
How about integration with 3rd party controls?
Would it make sense to use Telerik Rad Editor, and integrated Image, Media managers.
Does umbraco provide CMS for these type of artefacts, and where does it store these types of media?
Would it make sense to hook up the DBContentProvider for the image manager to Umbraco CMS if provided, or create a separate database to store these artefacts like in the Telerik Rad Editor example.
I see there is some validation built in, how well does Umbraco play with PeterBlum?

Is the umbraco admin page lock downable and simple enough for end users to maintain a site, or is it recommended to use the API to create a dummed down interface for the users to maintain the site?
