    Create a package

    Hello,

I would like to create a package, but I don't know how to. On the old forum I found the following post: http://forum.umbraco.org/yaf_postst5281_How-to-make-my-own-package-to-umbraco.aspx. It says you can download a packager package from http://objects.dk/ but that website doesn't work anymore. Is there any documentation on how to build a package?

    Hi Jeroen,

The packager package was before umbraco v4. With umbraco v4 you have a build-in packager in the developer section.

Just right click the packages node and select create.

Building packages is integrated into Umbraco 4.

Go to the developer section.Expand packages. Right click packages. Choose Create.

You can delete a package by left clicking the installed package and then in the right screen click on Uninstall Package.

Hey there. It sure can...on the package details page there should be a link right under the version number that just reads "Download". That's your Zip archive with the package contents. Then, you can simply install this as a local package in other installations.
