Is there a way to generate an asp.net report in umbraco? I have this ex but I don't think the in umbraco using the DB tables to generate this reports in the way to go.
I am open to suggestions.
I don't follow the example because it is based on entity framework and getting the data from the DB itself, which in my case won't do me any good.
I think I will just create a special template and add some exporting functionality.

Why don't you follow that example? Umbraco doesn't have a report editor if it's what you mean. You can add your own back-end pages with your reports.
