Hi there
When creating a member group you only have the option of the group name.
Is there any way you can extend this to include additional information about the group.
The situation I have is that the group is a company and I would ideally like to store company details (address, phone, etc) at the group level.
The intention is that selected members will be able to update the company details.
Is this feasible ?
Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative solution ?
Thanks
Nigel
Hi Nigel,
You can add properties to the member types, not the member groups. This blogpost describes how to access the member properties using the asp.net role provider.
Hope it helps you,
Richard
Hi Nigel
I'm sorry to say the answer is no.
You could create content node for the company and grant access to that based on the group.
The link is a bit tenuous, but it may be your best bet unless someone else has a better idea?.
