    Search for Umbraco

    Hi All,

I was wondering if someone can provide some fedback/suggestions on search functionality for Umbraco. I have been working with Umbraco2 on a couple of projects, and it is quirky in its behavior (at least in large sites). I have issues deleting files, re-indexing, and it seems to be flaky on the results too.

What functionality hacve others used in the past? The primary site that I need a solution for ASAP has ca. 8000 nodes, 15000 files (images, PDFs, Word files, etc.) and I need to search both content nodes as well as documents (not images). Would love to hear some suggestions before I start devloping something.

    Thanks!

I'd use Umbraco Examine and then just locate a PDF/ Office document indexer for Lucene.Net. I'm sure there's plenty out there on google.

Thanks Slace. How would I get a hold of Umbraco Examine? Is this the download?

Wold you say it's ok to use this version for production? Thanks!
