I've got at least 3 Umbraco sites in development in VS2010 (RC, Ultimate). They are .NET 3.5 apps though, since Umbraco 4.x does not support .NET 4.0. It's a whole new CLR, so you can't mix .NET 2/ 3/ 3.5 in with it.
Also, I write the WebFroms MVP Control (http://webformsmvpcontrib.codeplex.com) in VS 2010.
If I didn't have to change the sln file and csproj files I'd do my core dev in there too (but I think everyone else might be pissed if I do the migration on them :P)
Visual Studio 2010
Hi,
Just thought I'd get a general discussion going to VS 2010 as the RC is out now and it will likely go to full release next month.
Who is planning on upgrading? Which version: express, professional, premium or ultimate?
Will express be sufficient for Umbraco development?
It uses .NET framework 4. Does this have any implications for Umbraco development and backwards compatiability of existing sites?
Will we need it to provide fixes/updates to the core?
Any other thoughts?
Cheers
Paul
