umbraco.config might be a little smaller with the new schema, but I think the main benefit is readability. I'm going with the new schema on any new development, but I don't think it's worth it when upgrading existing sites - unless you're about to do a lot of new xslt development in them anyway.
Implications of Using 4.0.x Schema?
Suppose I stick with the 4.0.x XSLT schema. Is there any functionality I'm missing out on? Will performance suffer? Etc.
