I have a datatype Ntext and have a related stylesheet called headings. Now when i want to edit the styles of my text under my content sectio and choose for any color headings like for example blue, i can get any color change.
However the class is there when i view the generated source code. Any Idea why am getting this?

Have you created the styles you want to choose from in the wysiwyg editor by right clicking the related stylesheet and choose create?
Did all the steps as usual.....but i forgot the most important thing!!!........including the css stylesheet in the header of my template!!!! :)
