I am trying to use the CWS Syntax for the contact form and everything works great so I decided to try and use fancy box to have the contact form in a pop up window. I can get the form to pop up, but when I press submit it sends me to the contact page where I have to hit submit again before it will go through. How can I keep it from doing that and stay in the pop up to send the email and display the thank you text?

As far as I know the contact form submits using a http post which might not work with fancybox unless you do the iframe version?
I have not used fancybox but I would recommend Jesper suggestion of using it in an iFrame mode.
BTW there is a specific forum related to CWS under the projects section of our.umbraco.org
