    Isn't the order of the definition from the dashboard.config file not taken?

    Thanks for replying Damiaan.

    Yes indeed it is. However, the issue is in the package manifest, i.e. when you install a new package in Umbraco.

    I have an action defined in the package to create the new tab. However, as far as I can tell there is no way to define the placement of the new tab.

    It is, of course, possible to then edit the dashboard.config after but I would rather avoid this if at all possible.
