    Changing the MemberType of an existing Member

    Hello guys,

    I need to change members of Member Type "Member" to another Member type. I have the default "Member" and need to change to "Customer"

    I do not remember anything in the API that does this. Is there any way?

    Is it possible through the API ?? or only by SQL?

    I am having the same problem. I am trying to use Umbraco as a backend for a role based application where we have both roles and groups. The problem is the users can change roles often. This seems so simple of a request however, I am getting posts from years ago where people are all asking the same question.
