Custom tab on content pages with custom view? [7.10]

    Hi!

I can add a custom tab among the content tabs, but can I have any type of view in that tab? I would like to have a completly customized view in an extra tab on the content page in Umbraco backoffice. Is it possible?

    /Kristoffer

    Hi Kristoffer

For V7 you can only do it using a custom property editor. So your own view will have to be wrapped in the default editor view.

You can hide the label etc, so you can get really close.

Ok, thanks. Any difference in Umbraco 8?

Maybe it is easier to add a menu option in the content menu, I guess you can have have a custom view then? If so, could you point me into the right direction for that kind of implementation?

Thanks for you time Sören, I really appriciate it!

    Hi Kristoffer

In v8 you can do Content Apps, which sounds like what you want. Note, they can't update content though.

You could do it with a menu option too, like you suggest :)

Thanks. I will try with the menu option. I can't find to many examples though. Do you know where I can find one?

    Thanks again!
