    <<System.BadImageFormatException: Bad IL format>> error with Umbraco4

    hiya,

    This is my 1st ever Umbraco install:

    I'm following the instructions in this URL:

    http://umbraco.org/documentation/books/install-umbraco-4-on-localhost---simplified

    I get as far as:

    Chapter 7: Run Umbraco’s Web-based Installer


    When I try to run the installer, I get an error:

    <<
    [BadImageFormatException: Bad IL format.]
    .cctor() +0

    [TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for '



    I've got the 3.5 framework installed.

    Any ideas?

    hiya,

    I want to close this issue.I made progress with the PI installer instead.
    It's still not 100%, but I no longer have the IL issue.
