LocalHost Umbraco Install Failing a Database Install
Hi Guys,
I have succesfully installed umbraco on my shared hosting account on godaddy. Now as I develop my website with Umbraco I need to do my testing locally. Well For some reason It is failing on me.
I had the same issue with the shared hosting at this step. Adding read/write permissions to the containing folder for the umbraco install fixed this. On my localhost this isnt working too well. I have added permissions for just about everything I can and still get the: Database connection initialisation failed.
I have tried logins for a created user in my database and the sa log ins.
Log in credentials:
Database type: Microsoft SQL Server
Server:JonCook-PC/SQLEXPRESS
database: umbraco
user: jon
pass: ********
Maybe some one has had this same error that can help?
