Umbraco site in root AND Umbraco site in virtual directory?
Good morning,
I've seen lots of questions on the forum about installing Umbraco in a virtual directory, and it seems it is possible since version 4.5.
I haven't seen anyone discussing the scenario where there are 2 Umbraco sites set up, one in the root and one as a virtual directory.
Is this possible?
For example:
www.mysite.com is a standard Umbraco site, sitting in the root, just doing its thing.
www.mysite.com/support is a virtual directory which points to another Umbraco site sitting somewhere else on the same server.
I'm I about to create a whole world of pain for myself with this kind of setup? I'm trying to decide if this is less effort than just merging the support site into the main Umbraco installation (both sites already exist separately in Umbraco installations).
