I have built an Umbraco website in Visual Studio, and delpoyed locally with no problems. I zipped the files on my local machine and unzipped to the root of my remote site. DB was scripted. All works fine locally and on live.
However I can't add content on th elive system, I get this wonky left aligned screen in Forefox
and this is the result of logging in in IE:

Sometimes clearing out the ClientDependency folder helps. I'd check this blog post as it seems like your issue:
