Newbie. Server 2008 IIS Express SqlExpress
I have downloaded V5 Beta1. Unzipped and added to ,Net4 pool
Run install (http://localhost:81/Install)
Create empty database in SqlExpress under sa.
The install startup page displays. Click Lets' get started.
Database config page displays : Enter: server name / db name / sa / sa pwd and click Install
The Installing Umbraco database page displays. The progress bar completes in a couple of seconds and
Installation Complete displays.
Click Continue and the previous (lets get started) page displays. No objects have been created in the database.
Is there a log file somewhere that will give me an idea as to what is going on?
Clive
I have found the answer. I was entering the server name as machine name\sqlexpress (ie. WEBDEV\SqlExpress)
By only entering \sqlExpress for the server name, the database install completed correctly.
