    Preview - unpublished node

    Hi "Our"

    Umbraco version 4.11.4

    I have a customer who, when creating a new node, would like to see the preview of it.

    I never my self use this, can it realy be true, that preview does not vork on unpublished nodes.

    Server Error in '/' Application.

    Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Hi René

    No, the preview function should be working with unpublished nodes. I'm a bit curious if you're running webforms or MVC?

    At a first glance this appears to me as a bug. However I think you should try and clear the temporary clientdependency files in the App_Data/TEMP/ClientDependency folder.

    I use webforms, and i have tryed to delete clientdependency files in the App_Data/TEMP/ClientDependency folder.

    This did not work 

    I wil try to look a bit more in to this today

    whwn i look in the \App_Data\preview

    There are the page i have created with the id.

    <TextSubpage id="1516"

    Bu it seems not to get to the \App_Data\preview folder to get the id.

    Hi 

    I have updatet to umbraco v 4.11.5 (Assembly version: 1.0.4807.33359) 
    Database msSQL 2008 10.0.1600.22 

    I was hopping this would fix the prewiev problem. 

    But it does not. :-(

    • When i create a new page the preview does not work.
    • When i save the page the previev does not work.
    • When i publish the page the previev works.
    • When i unpublish the page again the prewiev wont work

    Is this a bug, or am i missing something?
