    Umbraco book coming in 2011?

    Hi,

I played with umbraco just a little and immediatly fell in love with the system. However, I am still a DotNetNuke user since my hoster allows medium trust only. Shame, isn't it? Too lazy to switch. Another argument against umbraco is the sparse documentation. A lot of literature to be found for DotNetNuke on Amazon. But wait, there is a silver lining to this:

    http://www.amazon.de/Umbraco-Users-Guide-Paul-Sterling/dp/0470560827/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books-intl-de&qid=1253117804&sr=8-1

But the release date must be a joke, right? (It says Feb 2011, for those unwilling to browse through that German text).

    Regards
    Tim

The book is scheduled for an early-2011 release to coincide with the v5 release of Umbraco.  So the date is accurate.

While a printed user guide is not available you can access a lot of online tutorials on umbraco.tv, and of course the Wikis and Forums.

Follow your first instinct and love of the system...make the switch IMHO :)

I used to love DNN and then I discovered Umbraco. Ditched DNN like a shot. Now I'm part of the Umbraco core team.

    'Nuff said :-D
