    multiple sites

I'm completely new to umbraco, I'm starting my first instalation!

I've got a very basic doubt, if a have multiple sites, totaly independent, should I install umbraco for each one of them? And if one of the sites is multilanguage?

I've read some topics that talk about multiple sites, mutiple languages, sharede content, but still didn't find the answer.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Mauricio,

The way I have worked with multi-site setup in Umbraco, is when I have set up the structure of the first site I take a copy of if. So you have all the langauges in the same Umbraco installation. And from there translate each page in to the new language.

But when you work with muli-language you have to set manage hostnames in Umbraco.

If you have full access to Umbraco TV here is a great guide how to do it:http://umbraco.tv/videos/implementor/multi-lingual/creating-a-multi-lingual-site/introduction.

Since you are new to Umbraco I will also recommend to see these episodes:

    http://umbraco.tv/videos/implementor/fundamentals/templating/introduction/

Hope this post can help to throw some light on how to work with multiple sites in Umbraco.

    /Dennis
