Umbraco 6.16 - Service Unavailable only when accessing site remotely
I've set up a new staging server on Windows Server 2008. I installed Umbraco 6.1.6 manually by copying the files from the installation zip to a folder and assiging the relevant permissions. When I browse the site on the server machine I can get to Umbraco and everything seems to be working fine. I have installed courier and tested out the admin functionality and am getting no errors.
However, when I attempt to access the site from a client running on a different machine I get a plaintext response in the browser which simplay states 'The Service is unavailable'. I know this is something to do with Umbraco because if I deliberately spoil say web.config, I get a proper 503 error rather than the one I'm seeing.
I have emptied the TEMP folder and recycled the application pool more times than I care to remember but I'm still getting this error. Can anyone suggest a solution?
