    Cassini and Windows 7

    Hello

     

    Trying to install the latest beta release on a fresh Windows 7 Ultimate system. The problem right now seems to be with the Cassini installer. Is there a FAQ for a Windows 2003 installation using IIS - or has anyone else had luck with the Cassini/W7

    If you're having problems with Cassini & Windows 7 you're best asking somewhere like http://stackoverflow.com

    Why you don't install IIS on your Windows 7, run without problems for me :-)

    IIS & Umbraco working perfect here in Windows 7 too.

    For what it's worth, it appears from the UltiDev forums that there may be an issue with Windows 7 (especially 64-bit) and cassini. http://ultidev.com/Forums/default.aspx

    As others have mentioned, IIS on Win7 is really wonderful and highly recommended.

    Does the IIS come with the Professional edition or only the Ultimate Edition?

    I have a desktop machine that I plan to upgrade from Vista Business - to Professional - but if Professional does not have IIS then I'll just get the full version of the Ultimate so I can get IIS on it.
