Installing 7.1.4 locally using source code and running

Hello. So I downloaded the latest 7.1.4 source code from the website, opened it in Visual Studio, built it, and ran it. When I run it I get errors on the install screen. Please see screenshot below.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

    Hi Anthony,

Is there a specific reason why you want to use the source code and built it in visual studio yourself.

It is possible to you to download the Umbraco 7.1.4 from here and take the zip file. http://our.umbraco.org/contribute/releases/714, if you want to  install Umbraco manually, here is a guide that you could follow. http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/install-umbraco-manually

You could also use the WebMatrix to get your Umbraco installation up and running, http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/install-umbraco-with-microsoft-webmatrix or you could use Nuget http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/install-umbraco-with-nuget

After installation you can e.g use Visual studio as editor to edit in the Umbraco. But when you make new documenttypes and template I will recoummened you to do it from the Umbraco backoffice so they are registred right into the dababase.

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis
