We're considering using Umbraco and have a quick basic question. How does the page load time compare using Umbraco compared to a static html page not using a CMS?
Static html will be many times faster in terms of executing time on the server. However, this is still a tiny proportion of the entire page load life cycle. Umbraco, built properly, is fast and the small performance hit over static is normally justifiable to gain the authoring of a CMS.
