How to install release 1.12.0 of Merchello in Back Office
I am new to Umbraco and inheriting a project running on version 7.2.5. For reasons beyond my control, we cannot upgrade to version 7.3 yet.
I am tasked with implementing a "store" on the site, and Merchello seemed to be the perfect package to use. Unfortunately, when I try to install it from the back office, the only package available is 1.13, which is incompatible with Umbraco 7.2.
How can I install version 1.12 of the Merchello package?
Fortunately there is also specific package pages here on our (The feed in the backoffice fetches the latest releases from these) - So you can find the 1.12.0 release on the package page here https://our.umbraco.org/projects/collaboration/merchello/ - You need to scroll down a bit untill the grey box appears and then you need to switch to the "archived" tab and the scrolla a bit further down to find the specific release - Then simply download the package and then within the package section in Umbraco choose the upload option to install the package from zip.
Thank you for your reply! I see the archive list you are referring to, but I only see zip files for version 1.13 and on (plus a couple sql files). Is there a link you could provide to the version 1.12 zip?
I'm afraid the 1.12 version is no longer available since 1.14 has been released since I answered your post :)
So now I think your best bet is to download and make your own build of 1.12 from github https://github.com/merchello/Merchello/tree/1.12.0 - Or perhaps try asking Rusty Swayne via Twitter if he can provide you with a .zip file.
