Redirecting is not is sometimes lacking when a post is answered

    Hi

Am I the only one expiriencing some problems when posting answers? It has happened a couple of times that I'm just stuck with the "Posting your reply" message when replying on topics. The redirect to the topic does not happen.

Not sure wether this may be a bug or just something with my internet connection maybe?

    /Jan

No Jan, you're not alone, I've experienced it a few times, and luckily, the post IS posted correctly, even when it's not redirecting... Hard and tricky bug to track and solve if you ask me.

I've also experienced this, thought it was related to some kind of spam-filtering mechanism, since I only experience this when posting muliple times in the same thread.

The bug is that you have an Anchor in the current Url, and when a new post is submitted you get a new url back with a new anchor in. This makes the browser assume that you should not refresh the page but just got to the anchor...

So the reason is clear, not sure about the fix tho, but there must be a way to force a reload

Ah, it is not just me then :)

Yes I noticed that the posts fortunately are being posted afterall - just got a bit annoyed by it.

But yes indeed a hard bug to fix - Was just wondering if I was the only one. I just started experiencing it yesterday and have seen it a couple of times today. Don't know if it can relate to the latest forum update maybe?

it's related to having the new urls point directly to the newest comment from the overview, having anchors in the url screws up the redirect
