Umbraco 5, Firefox, Firebug and back office drop down lists crash Firefox

    Hi there

I guess this ins't a massive issue, but it is a pain. We've just set up a new Umbraco 5 web application. If in Firefox with a Firebug panel open I click on an of the drop down lists in the back office Firefox crashes - hangs for a minute of so then the whole application crashes.

I guess there is some incompatibility with the JavaScript drop down lists and Firebug.

    Thank you

Firefox 10 hangs and then crashes a few times a day for me also when using the Umbraco5 back office.  Quite an annoying problem.  I didn't think I had Firebug open, but I will look into that.

Same happens for me when using Firebug, but it doesn't seem to be restricted to drop-down lists as it can also happen when switching between tabs on a page (although these tabs have drop-down lists as part of their structure).

Tried both Firefox 9 & 10 with Firebug 1.9.1 - anyone got an older version of Firebug running that has encountered this issue?

Upgraded our Umbraco site to v5.0.1 - Firebug still causes crashes...

There doesn't seem to be any mention of this on http://progress.umbraco.org or http://issues.umbraco.org/issues as far as I can see.

Agreed, reliably-reproducible problem with most current Umbraco 5 and Firefox versions.
