I recently uploaded a client site from staging server (running full trust) to live server (running medium trust) and suddenly it's impossible to log in to the Desktop Media Uploader. Fiddler suggests there's an error 500 when accessing the /umbraco/webservices/mediauploader.ashx file.
I can't think of anything else that could be causing this other than a difference in the trust modes of the two servers. Can anyone verify this and/or suggest a solution?

For the record I just spoke to the hosting company (pipeten) and they have confirmed that DMU won't run in medium trust.
