    Template not saved Please make sure that you do not have 2 templates with the same alias

    I know this has been asked before but all of the solutions that i found did not apply. I have one template, umbMaster, that I cannot save and I have checked the following:

    • had host reset permission to full
    • verified that there are no duplicate aliases in the database (I only have 10 templates)
    • verified the matching Master pages in the file system
    The only way I can update the template is to pull it down via FTP, edit it and then re-Upload it. I do not know what else may be wrong.

    Hi Adam

    Could you ellaborate a bit more on your workflow?

    Are you editing the site files on the webserver within Umbraco? What is your setup? Do you have local, stage and live-environments or how do you develop?

    Jan,

    It appears to be working now. I uploaded the site last night and I had some permission issues that my hosting provider had to fix. maybe it was a caching issue with the file? im not sure. Anyways, Thanks for the quick response though.
