The meetup threads are gaining some popularity on the forum. I think that it would be good if we had some way to create Meetup groups and for members to join them. This would make it much easier to mobilise user groups in different regions.
Im just seeding this thought to see what sort of response there is to this sort of feature. Im not a hundred percent sure how this would work in terms of what constitutes a group being created etc eg do you need more than 5 interested members before it becomes active? Those sort of details I havent really thought through.
I thought there was meant to be a Start Meeting option somewhere which would send out the notification to everyone registered in the radius (ie - 200km), but I've never found it.
Would be really useful, particularly for people who don't frequent the forums but would want to attend.
