1 - In my opinion the pagers in the forum are very small. Its just showing:

Could easily improved by a larger font and some spacing:
1 2345
2 - number of items on one page.
It would be nice that you could have a setting to change the number of items per page. It would be perfect if one could save that as profile setting or store it in a cookie !
