The way that you can do it, is by creating a document type called e.g folder, and on this document type, on the tab structure, allow the page document type to be created as a child.
And if you need to create folders at the root level, you need to set the document type to allow at root, it´s under the structure tab too,

Hi, how can i (or isn't possible) made subfolders within the main root
