I have been using Umbraco 7 for some time and I think it is great for for example company websites where you add homepage and some content pages with info and don't add new content frequently or at all.
However if I would like to create news site and add new content daily, Umbraco does not look like best choice :/ I have to open at least two nodes and after that I can add new post.
I don't know what I am doing wrong but mu posts are always sorted from the oldest. Changind order by dates does not work and when I select by Order (numbers) it works but new items are again added to the end.
Can anyone recommend how to customize backoffice or other tips how to run site that has content added daily on Umbraco? Thanks very much.

Have a look at Articulate. It uses the list view which is perfect for this.
