    Examine Index

    Hi,

After publishing content my Examine results are often missing content.

I need to go into Examine Management and rebuild the ExternalIndexer index for search results to include all nodes correctly.

Is there a way to do this automatically?  Or can I set a rebuild interval?

I notice there's an interval attribute I can add in the config file, but I can't find any docs describing what this does.

    Thanks in advance,

    David.

    Hi David,

You can try to call rebuild examine indexes after publishing your content via events.

    https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Reference/Events-v6/ContentService-Events

    Thanks

Ok, thanks Alex. Is there nothing out of the box?

Do you know when the index is rebuilt by default?

    Thanks again.

    Hi David,

    here is the examine documentation:

    https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/reference/searching/examine/

In the "Full configuration markup example" you can find an example for the interval attribute.

    Best,

    Sören

Thanks Sören, Examine makes much more sense now.

Great overview here: Overview & Explanation - "Examining Examine by Peter Gregory"
