Grid Layout error in Firefox, script not responding

I have a problem with the GridLayout control with 10+ rows. In Firefox and sometimes in IE, page with this big Grid Layout loads very long and I get "script not responding error". I guess that the complexity of the GridLayout content causes this, but I expected that GridLayout can handle 10-15 rows of text and image cells. Does anyone know if there is a way to improve GridLayout performance regarding the number of rows/columns?
