    Hello,

I have successfuly installed a new empty Umbraco website, then for learning purposes I applied the steps in Newbie's Guide to Setting Up an Umbraco Website by Blake Smith, but when finished I got the next error:

    Any thoughts, please ?

    Ensure that:

    • you have a content node.
    • your content node has a template assigned to it.
    • your content node is published.

It would also help if you reply with:

    • the version of Umbraco you are using.
    • a screenshot of your content tree.

What does the properties tab of your home node look like? Here's an example from a sandbox site I'm running:

You see where is says Template, use that drop down to select a template and it should work. if there are no templates in that drop down you will have to go to your document type and assign some templates to it.

There were no templates in the drop down box, now I see that I have to assign a template in the document types and also select it in the content section. Many Thanks.
