Locked out of umbraco 7.3.5

I can no longer log in as an admin. In previous installation of umbraco you could reset the password via sql. ie like so

https://our.umbraco.org/forum/using/ui-questions/4790-ouch-forgot-admin-password-how-to-reset

Is this not possible now?

Tried this myself and it works.

This works. (nice solution). Not sure what happens behind the scenes. The dll creates the following data in my db.

userLogin: Admin userPassword: YxpPvFwXkVKmFmKXqibPvNiI0eU=

I'm not sure what's the magic behind this, but this saves time and headache especially if you don't have access to database or not sure how to change anything in it.
