Can I pulling data from umbraco to used somewhere else?

my intention is like if i have a news page that allow user to post their news content and heading etc. and what i want is that i want to pull that content(data) from umbraco purpose for the used of somewhere else like other website can it be done ? if there is a way please guide me i was looking for this topic but seem no one has asked about it.

Hi wasan,

It is possible,all you have to do is to create a service that provides the data in JSON or XML format that can be used for the other websites:

you have the following options:
- if you are using umbraco 6.1 and above you can use web API http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Reference/WebApi/
- if you are using v6.0.x then you can use Surface Controller to provide data http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Reference/Mvc/surface-controllers
