And is it not possible to do the checkbox Mandatory?

Looks like that's just a styling issue, you might have some css that is causing that behaviour.
Iam using the standard Css that follows with contour.I have not made any own css ...

So there is absolutly no other css on the page? Try checking where the style is coming from with firebug
